Stockholm - Blique by Nobis
Stockholm's coolest hotel
I’m a sucker for a cool hotel and Blique by Nobis in Stockholm ticked all my boxes. Cool communal areas, a hotel bar, yummy breakfast and interesting rooms - I loved my stay here.
My first impression of the hotel’s location in Hagastaden was mixed as it took around 40 minutes to walk from the bus station. However, after a few days of exploring the city I realised that it was actually ideal to be situated just outside of the hustle and bustle of the city and metro links meant that it really wasn’t that difficult to reach the centre. We also love to walk everywhere so it meant that we really saw as much city as we could in a few days.
The aesthetic of the hotel was definitely suited to me. The exterior is warehouse-esque and interior of the building is industrial looking with exposed pipes and fixtures and cement walls. It’s balanced perfectly with warm leather couches, coffee table books and artwork. It’s the vision I have for my dream home. Blique by Nobis is a very cool spot and fans of contemporary design and architecture will love it here. Our room was cosy, with a double bed and hanging rails on the walls in lieu of wardrobes. The bathroom was modern and stocked with products from Byredo, a luxury Swedish brand.
Breakfast offered a pretty good spread - pastries, cereal, fruit and yoghurt as well as a variety of meat, ramen (!) and noodles. The juice selection blew my mind as I’d never seen blueberry juice served in a hotel before! We had a really early flight meaning we had to check out at 3am so the staff at Blique packed us up some pastries to take with us - so kind!
Some final things I loved about our stay here was the gym and steam room facilities which were really high-end as well as the regular activity nights the hotel hosts. They have communal dinner nights, art exhibitions and live music events. I would 100% return to Blique by Nobis, it was a joy to stay there.
