Stockholm - Falafelbaren
A falafel dream!
Raise your hand if you love Falafel! Off the beaten track in lovely Sodermalm you’ll find Falafelbaren - a super cosy spot which serves the most delicious and rich falafel dishes.
On our visit to Stockholm earlier this year, we were keen to explore the up and coming area of Sodermalm and whilst researching things to do there we came across Falafelbaren and decided we had to go. A tiny place, there are a handful of seats inside and outside so be quick and you might find a recently vacated chair. We went around 3pm and there was a small queue however, the service is brilliant and we had our food within 10-15 minutes and were done within half an hour of arriving. It’s a quick eat place so ideal for those of you in a rush.
The menu at Falafelbaren is varied with options to have falafel in either a pitta or wrap, in a mixed bowl with houmous and vegetables, my favourite savoury pastry - bourek and halloumi fries. I had the mixed bowl and was in chickpea heaven! I encourage you to try the free sauces on each table although be warned, they’re a bit spicy.
Falafelbaren was the perfect place to fill our stomachs before an afternoon of exploring around Sodermalm. If you love falafel then you should 100% go!
