There is no such thing as too much cheese
Cheese’s Art is located in the still hype neighborhood of L’Eixample, an area planned and developed by Cerdá almost 200 years ago to modernize and expand the city of Barcelona. Cheese’s Art is on the street with the highest number of restaurants per block in Barcelona!
Cheese's Art is owned by Frank, a citizen of Andorra with French and Belgian roots. The food here has a simple concept: cheese + art. Here you can eat many different cheese-centric dishes: cheese platters, cheese fondue, special burgers with lots of cheese, cheese boats (traditional Belgian bread filled with cheese), salads with cheese, and everything with cheese.
Here, I tried three different dishes. First, the Degaz Cheese Platter containing
Five different types of cheese: Emmental, Comté, Reblochon, Les Valls and Bleu des Basques – served with fig jam and toasts, of course. Then, a Catalonian typical dish, with a twist: Patatas Bravas with a special homemade cheese sauce. And as if that wasn’t enough cheese, I finished with a Cheese Boat Sangra Spinal, filled with tomatoes, Spanish ham, and three different types of cheese. Simply mind-blowing.
This was my experience with Frank and his wonderful idea of making an all-cheese restaurant. I think that Frank, Wallace, (From Wallace & Grommit) and I agree that if heaven exists, it must be made of cheese.
