Agra Beyond Taj Mahal
Agra India
I feel like everyone who visits India, and most importatnly the Taj Mahal, only visits just the Taj in Agra,
Last month when I visited Agra, I had a mission to explore the city beyond Taj,
and Below are the places and things one can do in Agra other than just visit Taj Mahal,
First one on the list is Akbar's tomb, the epic architecture and the details are just marvellous to look at, The entry ticket for this historical monument is 50 INR, while the parking is 100 INR which didnot make sense me at all haha but that's how it was, just so you know.
While I was in Agra I stay my local friend's house, but one can easily get a hotel near Taj or any other neighbourhood, and commute around the city using UBER app or just use the local transport like Tuk-Tuks, whatever floats your boat.
Next is the Tomb of Etmad daulah:
Then later One can visit Tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah which is a Mughal mausoleum in the city of Agra in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Often described as a "jewel box", sometimes called the "Bachcha Taj", the tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah is often regarded as a draft of the Taj Mahal.
The entry ticket for which is also 50 INR,
I loved the detailed architecture of all these monuments, and one can enojy the sunset site at Etimad ud Daulah as it is right by Yamuna river.
Now these both Monuments are far apart so taking an Uber is the most convenient way to commute.
