Our second destination we headed to was Sri Lanka. A tiny country with so much to see. There we met our good friend Sam and together we explored this beautiful land and for us, new culture.

The first week we booked a guide to show us the amazing temples and landscapes plus explaining and teaching us a lot about the religion and history of Sri Lanka. Our guide Danu quickly became a good friend of ours; he made this trip unforgettable. He didn’t get tired answering Sam’s and my million questions and helped us retrace the rites and habits of this culture.

Especially I will never forget our karaoke sessions in the car along to Danu’s music, which happened to be 2010’s: In my head, Fireflies and Hey Soul Sister.
