Exploring Joshua Tree
Surreal and beautiful spot full of natural wonders
In recent years, Joshua Tree National park has been growing in popularity due to its beautiful landscape and vicinity to Los Angeles. Some of the incredible things you can see in this place are granite monoliths, breathtaking mountains, staggering rock formations, plains and old mines. This place is consists of the uncommon yet unique combination of the Mojave and Colorado deserts.
The monumental granite monoliths create an exceptionally photogenic geological landscape, which, combined with the beautiful sunsets of this desert, create a spectacle of stones and shadows and the perfect opportunity to take hikes and snap incredible photos. It's also a paradise for boulder climbers.
One of my favorite spots in this place is Keys View, where you can see the spectacular overview of Palm Springs and Coachella Valley.
Another great place worth visiting is Arch Rock. It's a 30 ft. arch surrounded by giant boulders. To get there, you have to take a small hike from White Tank Campground.
Joshua Tree is merely a 2-hour car drive away from the city of Los Angeles. Which makes it more than an excellent place to camp and have a break from the city during the weekend. It's also great place to go with an R.V. trailer. Joshua Tree is a surreal and beautiful spot full of natural wonders ready to be explored.
