Mount Fuji a sacred mountain and symbol of Japan that rises 3776 meters above sea level.
Mount fuji is a shy mountain and not easy to see, so you will need some luck. Most importantly you will need patience since you will have to wait for the precise moment for the skies to clear and this is your opportunity to take the photo.
A great place to see mount Fuji is in the Kawaguchi lake that is less than an hour and a half drive from the city of Tokyo. The lake under the mountain creates a great landscape accompanied by sakura trees to decorate the view of the volcano.
Another place to see Mt. Fuji is Hakone, where you can climb on the Komagatake ropeway that takes you up mount Hakone and you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Fuji and Lake Ashi.
Once you're up there, visiting the Hakone shrine and its beautiful red torii is a must.
Mount Fuji is definitely one of the greatest mountains I have ever seen, and when though it is hard to see, it's worth the shot.
