Although our a name is pretty self-explanatory, people don't always know what we do! Projects Abroad provides eager travelers with the opportunity make contributions to our long-term sustinable goals in communities around the world.
So what exactly is Projects Abroad?
Started by Dr. Peter Slowe in 1992, Projects Abroad, has evolved from one small Teaching Project in Romania to operating in 25 destinations worldwide with hundreds of project options. Whether you're a student, professional, retiree, or just someone that wants to make a meaningful impact, we have projects for you! As an example, for those interested in creating a cleaner and heathlier environment, we suggest you have a look at our Conservation Projects throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Or if you love working with kids and want to assist with our efforts to provide low cost care, than our Childcare Projects are best for you! The projects and destinations available really allow us to provide something for everyone, regardless of your passions or interests.
Something really great about Projects Abroad is that majority of our projects run year round with flexible start dates. So you can join us when it works best for your availability!
