Red Dirt Paradise
The best of Broome
After a whole lap around Australia, the red dirt paradise called Broome is one of my all time favourite spots, and heres why.
James Price point
A place where the red dirt meets the ocean. This place was like camping on mars. The red cliffs were just unbelievable to stand upon and watch the sunset. Many perfect free camps along the coast. Head along the 4WD track to Quondong Point, where you’ll have an abundance of rock pools all to yourself.
Gantheaume Point
From dinosaur prints, to rock pools, this is the perfect place to get your adventure on. Enjoy a day of rock hopping or cliff jumping to find that perfect ocean pool.
Roebuck Bay
Where photos look like water paintings. The colours of the red, cloudy blue and green is a contrast you won’t want to miss. The slightly sandy track has many pull ins where you can view the amazing coastline of Broome. Best time to visit would be high tide.
Cable beach
Nothing quite says an amazing beach like watching camels stroll past your van as you enjoy the sunset with friends. If you’re on the beach by the afternoon you’ll be treated to both mid afternoon and sunset tours. Camels aside, this patrolled beach is amazing for the many hot days in Broome.
