The Rockpool Way
South Australia’s must see rock pools
1. Whalers Way
Privately owned rock pool heaven. It’s $30 entry with a night stay included. A well known spot is the “swimming hole”, well worth the trek down the not so stable ladder. Spots not to miss include Cape Carnot, Blowhole and the Caves region on the Western end of the property.
2. Greenly Beach
This place has it all, free camps, surfing and incredible rock pools. Head North over the rocks, look to your left and you’ll be in rock pool paradise. If the tides are in your favour you may spot at the Southern end of the beach Australia’s very own sand pool.
3. Point Brown
Follow the road out to Point Brown, on your left will be a sign to the rock pool and to your right the perfect free camp. Although well concealed this smooth rock pool is the perfect place to float your day away.
4. Innes National Park
Begin by heading to Shell Beach. After you’ve finished rewarding yourself in this paradise, take a short walk to your right over the rocks and there you’ll find natures best swimming pool
