Comptoir Darna

As you probably read from part one of my Marrakech series we came to Morocco for a lavish girls trip to celebrate my best friends future wedding. So we wanted one of the nights to be incredibly special with a luxurious dinner and accompanying drinks, after reading many reviews we chose Comptoir Darna, offering Moroccan & international food. As i love curry i decided to try their chicken tikka masala, it was possibly the best one i have ever eaten.

As soon as you walk through the main entrance you just know it is the place to be, the atmosphere is like no other, dark and candlelit with the aroma of the food hitting you. One minute we were tucking into our dinner, then suddenly the lights go out and the belly dancing performance begins.

If you want to go somewhere that is trendy, has great interiors yet hugely authentic with a DELICIOUS food and wine menu then book your table now. There is a club upstairs where you can expect an oriental ambience like no other, we prolonged our night there and we highly recommend! The video below is in that upstairs bar, we arrived as soon as the next round of dancers started, it was so busy up there we had to stand at the bar, it was an incredible atmosphere.

Top tip: Order the espresso martini and pimp my tea and expect them to arrive like this!
