Rooftop Lunch in Marrakech
One of our favourite lunch spots was the Souk Kafe
The Souk Kafe which is situated within the Medina is a great spot for some lunch or to grab a Moroccan mint tea! We sat on the roof terrace at the top which provided a great view and photo opportunity. Beware, the stairs up to the rooftop are so steep and narrow! We had been walking around the markets for ages so we were desperate to find somewhere nice to relax for a while and look at what we’d bought. It was rated well on trip advisor so we decided to give it a try.
The menu was great so it was hard to choose what to have, the other girls chose meat kebabs so i decided to go for something a bit different and order the the Harira (traditional Moroccan lentil soup). It was absolutely delicious, perfect for all the vegetarians out there too, it tasted very much like minestrone - but better of course.
Moroccan mint tea was ordered by all, it was our go to drink of the trip and the novelty of the pretty intricate teapots and the extravagant pouring technique never got old.
If you’re looking for a place where you can have great rooftop views and delicious food at a reasonable price then give The Souk Kafe a try.
