Where to Stay in Zion National Park
Experience Zion NP from Watchman Campground
During our trip to Zion National Park, we stayed at the Watchman Campground. Only a quarter mile from the Park entrance and walking distance from the shuttle station, it was the perfect spot to make the most of our time.
There are both tent and electric sites available all throughout the year and with over 150 sites, there is plenty to choose from.
NOTE: Everything gets booked up very quickly. Reservations can be made up to 6 months before your trip and you'll need to book yours as soon as you can!
We stayed on site C28 which had stunning views of the surrounding mountain peaks and was walking distance to both the Visitor Centre and Shuttle Station. Each site comes with a fire pit, picnic bench, and incredible front row seats to a sky full os stars.
We woke up every morning to the sun illuminating the tops of the mountains and a family of deer walking by a few feet from our tent. It was something out of a fairytale!
Springdale is located direclty outside of Zion National Park. This means that gas stations, shops, groceries, restaurants, and coffee shops are only a short drive away.
Downsides
- If you aren't able to book a shaded site, it gets pretty hot!
- There are no showers.
