Kenya: this is my Safari! 🦒

One of the greatest emotions is seeing animals run free in their habitat and in Kenya, there are several parks where you can see them.
We left at dawn from our resort in Watamu with a jeep and after about 5 hours we arrived at the entrance of Tsavo East park. Along the road, there were hundreds of children singing songs and we stopped to give them pieces of bread, pencils, and notebooks for school. At the entrance of the park you can see crocodiles and monkeys!
We began cruising around the savannah and initially, the animals were only visible only from afar but then suddenly some wonderful elephants appeared in front of us. There were Giraffes, gnu, lions, gazelles, and zebras! It is not possible to get out of the jeep in the parks of the state of Kenya due to security issues and it is not possible to leave the marked paths but the animals approach and walk beside you and are not afraid of the cars.
One thing I will never forget was the terror when we drove through a swarm of grasshoppers that flew into the Jeep and began clinging to our hair😱!
We spent the night in a resort in the savannah and it was magical, there were signs on the doors with "attention to monkeys" because they are very clever and love to come in to steal anything.
The sunrise and sunset in the savannah are beautiful and was something I'll never forget.
On the second day, we had breakfast on the terrace and then headed out. By lunchtime, we were back at our tourist resort in Watamu.
Truly an experience I'll always hold in my heart ♥
