(Un)usual breakfast in Nice

Boulangerie de L’Olivier

If you fancy a decent but delicious breakfast in Nice, then Boulangerie de L’Olivier is the place to go.

Its location right on a busy street, Boulevard jean jaures, makes it more exposed to anyone passing by and fancying grabbing a piece or two of the delicious french pastry.

We found this cute little place by accident on the way to our Airbnb and bought a fresh crunchy baguette and a croissant which was the best I have had so far. (Not because i was dead hungry after the long trip, but because it was truly good).

After couple of days, before heading to the airport, searching for a perfect spot to have the last breakfast, we decided to head back to the baker again and take that beautiful taste along with us.

We sat inside, as it was pouring rain. The place was super alive, alot of people came in to buy their deliciousness or to grab a coffee before the start of the busy day. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. The place has an outside sitting too, in case you would prefer to enjoy the street more.

The bakery is definitely not a work-friendly environment, as its tiny and quite loud.

Prices and the selection is reasonable.

I was happy with a plain butter croissant and an esspresso, while my boyfriend enjoyed his small breakfast that includes a baguette with butter and a marmelade with one fresh drink of choice and a coffee. That breakfast cost 4,00eur.

They offered 2 other breakfast options too.

We sat there for a while, observing the place and its workers, peope that came by, small morning talks in a beautiful language, wishing to have alike bakeries as well at home...

yummy yummy

We loved the bakery so much that we bought another baguette of a different type and a couple of croissants for the way...
