Chase Waterfalls at Tukad Cepung Waterfa
Discover the waterfall Tukad Cepung in a secluded
A popular activity when in Bali is to go chasing waterfalls and when you’re in Sidemen, you should make time to go visit Tukad Cepung Waterfall. This is a great morning activity to do while in Sidemen and what makes this waterfall so unique is that it is located within a cave
Once you park your bike or arrive with your guide, you will see a small ticket booth at the start of a path. It’s 30,000 IDR per person to enter, however, Tukad Cepung Waterfall is still accessible before it’s officially open as there is no restricted access. From here, prepare yourself for a bit of a trek as you’ll have to take a short 20-minute hike down some stairs to a gorge to get to the waterfall. Nothing too strenuous, but you may need to take a few breaks on the way back and it’s not an accessible activity for anyone suffering a physical disability.
At the bottom of the stairs, there are two waterfalls. Go left to go to the one in the cave and go early in the morning if you want to avoid the crowds. Ques start forming very quickly as people wait their turn for their picture in front of the waterfall. However, if you’re prepared to battle others and wait your turn, then around 9am-10am is when you’ll be able to catch the light rays seeping in through the waterfall opening.
