Scuba Diving The Great Barrier Reef
with Reef Experience

The Great Barrier is the worlds most famous place to scuba dive. It’s on so many bucket lists worldwide, though climate change and pollution is causing devastating damage to this natural phenomenon. Now is the time to tick it off your list and Reef Experience are a brilliant company to do so under the guidance of.
Total beginners are given the opportunity to complete one or two dives, or snorkel, on the outer reef under the watchful eye of an experienced, safe and fun instructor. If you’re a certified diver you can also use the boat as a launch point for fun diving with the company of a local guide.
The day begins early but complimentary pick up (and drop off) from your Cairns accommodation makes life easy. Breakfast is provided on the boat, as is free tea, coffee and water throughout the day and the boat stops at two different dive sites. Both have a rich variety of marine life, high visibility and no current. Waters are warm and all equipment is provided including reef-safe sunscreen and seasickness tablets if needed.
There are various packages including one or two dives and all including unlimited snorkelling too. Reef Experience also offer a VIP ‘Top Deck’ package which was worth every extra penny: a special breakfast and lunch, champagne and fruit after your final dive and a 2-1 instructor personally looking after you and your buddy all day. I visited for my birthday and the extra effort they made was greatly appreciated.
