Deevana Patong Resort and Spa

Not to be confused with Deevana Plaza!

By the end of a crazy 2 months backpacking Southeast Asia, I was exhausted, I was hungry, and I just needed a good place to sit back and completely relax with a cocktail in hand by the pool. I was sick and tired of getting up early every morning to sightsee, and I was sick of being on such a tight budget that all we could afford was 2 minute noodles and bakes beans! So we decided to treat ourselves and indulge in a luxurious week of resort living in Phuket, Thailand. And let me tell you, at roughly $24 USD pp per night, we chose a GREAT place to do so!

Barely ever leaving the resort the entire week, we spent our days waking up late, filling up on the absolutely incredible buffet breakfast that included everything you could possibly think of under the sun, and laying by one of the 2 pools before doing a bit of market shopping and bargaining in the afternoon.

The multiple restaurant options at Deevana were all delicious and amazingly priced, ranging from Asian and Indian food, to many Western options too. They also often have events on during the week such as extravagant Thai dinner buffets for 350 THB ($11 US) and live music.

The two pools at the resort are both gorgeous and you can order food and cocktails to enjoy in the sun - now that's the life. They play great music and take song requests too, we often chose our own playlists at the pool bar during happy hour between 1-3pm. Two for one cocktails which become 110THB each! ($3.50 USD).

The comfortable and spacious rooms can be single, double, or even connecting rooms for a group of friends or family. They showers are massive and the facilities are fantastic, including a TV, fridge with minibar and complimentary softdrinks, safe, towels and fresh linen every day, beach bag and swimming towels, you name it. After two months of living in hostels, this was absolutely lush. There is also a spacious gym to get your workout on after pigging out at the buffet breakfast.
