Day Trip to Brighton, England
If you’re visiting London, there’s plenty to see and do, but what if you want to get out of the city for a day? There are several day trip locations just an hour or so outside of the city, like Oxford, Windsor, and more. Brighton is an excellent day trip option located just about an hour south of London by train.
I always wanted to visit Brighton to see the British seaside, so I decided to visit for a quick trip this summer while I was living in London. Brighton is home to several interesting tourist attractions worth a visit, including the Royal Pavilion, Brighton Palace Pier, and the British Airways i360. The Royal Pavilion was my absolute favorite thing I did in Brighton.
This palace was built in the 1700s, and members of the British royal family inhabited it in the 1800s. It is built in an interesting, Asian-fusion style that was very unusual to find in England at the time, so this isn’t your standard English castle. After you’ve toured the palace, visit the pier for a taste of the quintessential British seaside. Finally, take a ride on the British Airways i360 for incredible views of the city and the coastline.
