Bray - Greystones Cliff Walk
A 6km walk along the beautiful Eastern Coast
As much as I love the city, I love seeing what nature has to offer. Especially in a city like Dublin where everyone thinks you should be drinking Guinness the entire visit.
The best thing about this walk is that it’s a walk and not a hike. So even if you’re not an experienced hiker/outdoorsman, you can still enjoy the amazing view of the blue Atlantic waters from the eastern coast.
You can start this trail at either Bray or Greystones. I chose to start in Bray as it was closer to where I was staying. Knowing this was walk was on the east coast, I chose to get up early and so I could catch the sunrise during my walk. 10/10 recommend doing the walk at this time. Aside from seeing the beautiful Irish sunset, the trails were practically empty. By the time I reached Greystones it was time for some coffee and breakfast. I didn’t have cell service, so I wandered into the city where kids were all on their way to school for the day. I stopped to ask some lovely parents where I could get a cup of coffee and a pastry. They directed me to a place called The Bakers Table, where I enjoyed a perfect americano and cinnamon roll.
There’s not much else to say about this destination, it’s just something you have to see and experience. It is a 6 kilometer walk and I suggest you don’t rush to complete it. Take your time., enjoy the views, take a seat in the grass, take in the breathtaking views, and of course snap some photos to make sure you never forget how beautiful of an experience it truly was.
As always, don’t forget to bring some water with you.
