Jabal-al-Nour Mountain

Jabal-al-Nour is also known as the mountain of light, where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ received His first revelation. Climbing to this high mountain is quite challenging but upon reaching the top, you’ll enjoy the breathtaking views. December would be the perfect month to explore the Jabl-al-Nour mountain as the weather is quite pleasant. You can visit the Cave Hira that is nearest to this place.

Masjid al-Haram

After performing Umrah don’t stay in your hotel most of the time. It's better to visit the Masjid al-Haram several times a day. Especially spending the night and that too in the Mataf area is a mesmerizing experience. The whole mosque is decorated with ornaments and bright lights embellished by expert architects. Jannat-ul-Maula

Jannat-ul-Maula is an important place to visit from an Islamic point of view because many important personalities are buried here. Several companions, relatives, and family members of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ are buried here. Including:

• Aminah (RA) — Mother

• Khadija (RA) — First Wife

• Qasim (RA)- Son

• Abdul Mutalib — Grandfather

• Abu Talib — Uncle

During the rule of Ibn Saud, this historic place was wiped out, however, we can distinguish the graves by the tombs. This cemetery is located on the north side of Masjid al-Haram, surrounded by a white wall.

Mount Abu Qubays

Mount Abu Qubays is famous because Prophet Muhamad ﷺ showed the miracle of splitting the moon on this mountain. This mountain also saved Hijar e Aswad from the flood during the era of Hazrat Nuh. It is located on the eastern frontier of Masjid al-Haram. Al-Tabari records that Prophet Adam (A.S.), the first prophet, passed away at the base of Mount Aby Qubays. Later in history, during the year 691 CE, Governor Hajjaj Bin Yousaf attacked the Kaaba by firing a catapult from the top of the mountain. This attack led to the tragic death of Abdullah bin Zubair.

Place of Battle of Badr

Badr is located 130km away from Madinah. It’s the place where the first battle was held between the pagans of Makkah and Muslims on 17 Ramadan. Although the army of Muslims was too small with much fewer weapons. Only 313 Muslims defeated 1300 pagans of Makkah. Allah has mentioned this war in the Quran too, this tells its significance, so after performing Umrah in December must visit this place.

As time passed by, the color and design of Kiswah changed and nowadays all the task of dying, designing, printing, weaving, and embroidery of Kaaba clothing is done inside the Al Kiswah factory.
