Exploring The Beauty Of Diamond Beach

The famed Icelandic Diamond Beach
DIAMOND BEACH Right next to Jokulsarlon on the other side of the road is Iceland’s famous black sand diamond beach. You may think you’ve seen it all but have you ever seen small chunks of crystal clear blue ice just lying on the beach. It’s a truly incredible place and a place worth seeing when In Iceland. No matter the weather the place wont disappoint. You’ll see big chunks of ice on the water and small chunks on the shore. It looks like a place in a fairy tale as when the sun shines the ice actually glitters so when walking down the beach it looks like the beach itself is sparkling. Walk down the beach but walk around 5-10 minutes as most of the tourists just stay at the start of the beach so if you walk much further down you’ll not only have more of the beach to yourself but there is actually much more chunks of ice further along down the beach and in my opinion its more breathtaking as you see the beach stretch towards the horizon. Right next to diamond beach you’ll see seals just hanging out and playing which some actually some really close to the shore. Try allocating enough time so you do not have to rush this place, as that would be a massive shame.
