Edo

Cape Town, South Africa

Edo, also romanized as “JEDO”, is the former name of Tokyo.

A young sushi chef in Cape Town, came up with this revolutionary idea of making burrito style sushi wraps. It’s a unique gluten-free delicacy, somewhat like a hand roll but it’s carefully orchestrated to differentiate it from a standard hand roll.

The wrap doesn’t only look aesthetic, it tastes pretty good as well. Just because I love sushi, I went with the Salmon Sashimi Roll.

The roll had some cubed Salmon Sashimi, Guacamole, Cubed Salmon Sashimi, Asian Coleslaw, Danish Style Feta, Edamame Beans, Spring Onions, Salad Greens and to make things interesting some Crunchy Potato Flakes.

As you bite into the roll, an array of flavours instantly tantalizes your taste buds and makes you want to keep going.

I will stop teasing you now and, finally tell you where can you get yourself this exquisite roll. They don’t have a store in Cape Town as of yet, but you can order yourself a roll from their website, OrderIn, Mr D, or UberEats.
