Hudson's Burger Joint

Cape Town, South Africa

Established in 2009, Hudson’s Burger Joint is one of the busiest burger joints in Cape Town. It’s an American diner-style franchise, inspired by, no-frills-no-fuss New York based burger joint.

The restaurant as an ever-growing menu of delicious burgers, that caters for all different dietary options. Even though the burgers are fairly simple, they are most definitely not boring. They have curated some innovative burgers, without being detestable by the burger community!

All the burgers on the menu are offered in 180g and 250g options and are served with a side of fries. Hudson’s hasn’t only put effort into coming up with some amazing names for their restaurants, but they also put in some great effort into the presentation of their burgers.

If you don’t feel like going for a burger and just get a snack, don’t worry Hudson’s got you covered. The joint has a wide array of snacks ranging from different kinds of fries to some amazing falafel salads and they even have tacos, for when you’re feeling a bit Mexican.

Even though Hudson’s took off as a Burger joint, over the past few years, it has a become a popular spot for drinks as well. They have an extensive drinks menu to test out your liver.

The most popular Hudson’s franchise is also their first one, located on Kloof Street, right in the center of town. This particular joint has an amazing interior, although it can get a bit cramped up when it’s busy, but the open plan helps you breathe and ignore the fact that every customer is basically just sitting on top of the other one.

They often run specials. Some of the popular specials include the R55 lunch menu, where you get a variety of medium sized meals for a decent price.

They also have a R25 Sliders special on Thursdays, one slider is not going to do you any good, but if you want to try different flavors in one sitting, it’s would be a nice idea to go for the slider special.

Hudson’s burger joint is definitely the pioneer of burger culture in Cape Town, and even though on busy days you might feel like their service is slacking a bit, don’t go too hard on them because the food they offer makes everything better!!
