Green Hill Hostel, Ha Giang, N. Vietnam

Green Hill Hostel is located in the Ha Giang province , a place among the mountains of the far north Vietnam that should be a must see in any traveler itinerary but is still not listed by many people because of its far position from anywhere else.

The hostel was completely hand built by the two friendly owners in November 2017 using mostly natural materials as bamboo and plants giving a local touch to the atmosphere and it is the perfect escape for all whose are looking for a peaceful place after a couple of days in the busy Hanoi, the capital.

Rooms prices are totally accessible for all type of wallet starting from the cheapest available option in a six or eight bed dormitories room till at the little more expensive choices of a quadruple deluxe room. Hence, either you are a solo traveller, a couple or a family Green Hill Hostel will satisfy your needs. Every dormitory has a shared bathroom with hot shower available while the Deluxe double room and the Quadruple with mountain view have access to a private one in the rooms. All of them included air condition, mosquito nets and room service and some rooms have a balcony with view.

Breakfast is included in the price except for drinks and every night the owners organise a characteristic family dinner with unlimited local wine and rice, and many specialities. Taking part at the family dinner you’ll have not only the chance to meet many people from all over the world but also to get in touch with the real Vietnamese culture tasting different foods and sharing the experience with a local family. The hostel also has a shared lounge with an open library, a pool table, a restaurant area and, most important, a lot of open space to enjoy the surrounding nature while drinking a special egg coffee.

Furthermore the owners are willing to help organise any bus for you next destination with free pick up in location, renting motorbikes or cars for your Ha Giang Loop (a must do in the area I will talk about soon) and will also let you use bicycles for free to discover the places around and store you luggage if needed.
