Lopesan Baobab Resort, Gran Canaria!
I visited Gran Canaria for 6-days, which in my opinion, was the perfect amount of time and stayed in two different hotels as I always like to explore different options instead of spending all my time in one place only.
The first hotel I stayed at was the Lopesan Baobab resort, a 5-star hotel in the Maspalomas area. Maspalomas, located in the south of the island, is mostly known for its sand Dunes. The sand dunes are a fantastic place to visit, and from certain angles, give you the idea you are in an African desert. After all, the Canary Islands are located around just 100km off the shore of Morocco.
The hotel is lovely and very, very big. It has several beautiful and considerably large pools to enjoy, which I did because the weather was terrific, there seem to be no winter days in the Canary Islands. I stayed in a room that had a private pool, so most of the day was spent in my room with a fantastic balcony and pool. Lopesan Baobab has an extensive outdoor area with several restaurants, bars, and relaxing areas, so you have plenty of things to keep you entertained while staying here.
Right outside the hotel, there is a small shopping street with many other restaurant options and bars, and it’s a lovely area for a stroll around at night. This African themed hotel is an excellent choice in Gran Canaria, it has a focus on families too, so that’s something to keep in mind as well if you want to bring your loved ones along for some pleasant holidays in the sun.
