A Girl's Weekend in Scottsdale Arizona
How to spend a weekend in Scottsdale
Scottsdale is a fun mix of upscale class and old town charm. It makes for the perfect location for a girl’s weekend!
We stayed in a villa at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort. It was spacious and even had a patio and outdoor seating. With multiple pools throughout the resort, it never felt crowded. It was also a great location close to shopping and restaurants.
When we weren’t lounging poolside, we were checking out the delicious restaurants and cafes.
Diego Pops was our favorite.
We loved the retro-chic decor and modern Mexican-inspired menu. Try the Braised Green Chili Chicken Tacos!
After lunch we stopped for dessert at The Sugar Bowl. This vintage 50’s diner is a Scottsdale landmark. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time as you grab a pink vinyl seat at the soda bar and order a milkshake.
We decided to burn off some calories with a little shopping. We strolled along the 5th Avenue Shops and browsed the different boutiques. We bought some dainty stamped necklaces at Carmen for under $30.
Of course we had to pop into Super Chunk for their award-winning Mesquite Chocolate Chip Cookies. This cookie has even been featured in National Geographic!
The next morning we woke up early and hit the trails. The Cholla Trail on Camelback Mountain is one of the most popular hikes in Scottsdale. The 3.1 mile out and back trail offers sweeping views across the entire valley. It was a great way to end our memorable girl’s weekend in Scottsdale!
