Jamaica Port of Call

How to spend a day in Jamaica

We went on a Caribbean Cruise with friends and Jamaica was one of the ports of call.

We were excited to explore the beautiful country and booked a horseback riding tour through Viator.

Our friendly guide led us through dense jungle, past local villages and along the spectacular coastline.

We ended at the ocean where the horses actually went out into the surf. It was such a memorable experience!

Next we headed to the popular Dunn’s River Falls. These beautiful 600 ft terraced falls are a natural treasure.

Visiting the falls is a unique experience as you hold hands creating a human chain to walk up the falls.

There is such a fun energy in the air, it’s like nothing we’ve ever experienced before! Water shoes are required and be sure to bring a waterproof camera. Or you can purchase photos from the guide.

Our last stop was a small village where we had the chance to purchase handmade gifts and spend time with the locals. The culture, people and country are absolutely beautiful. We’ll always remember our time in Jamaica!
