How to make the most of a Vegas family vacation
Las Vegas is known as a playground for adults, but there is plenty of family-friendly entertainment as well. Riding the New York New York roller coaster is a favorite for our kids.
The Bellagio water fountain show always captures the fascination of kids and adults alike.
If the temperature is too hot outside, head indoors to the Mandalay Bay Aquarium.
Many of the casinos offer free shows and attractions. A few favorites are the Fall of Atlantis show at Caesar’s Palace; the erupting volcano at the Mirage; The flamingo wildlife habitat at the Flamingo Hotel; and the free circus acts at Circus Circus.
Our favorite inexpensive souvenir is taking pictures in the photo booth at M&M World.
Shake Shack is one of our favorite places to eat on the strip. A few other recommendations are "America Restaurant" that features dishes from different states; "Honey Salt" that was inspired by the creator’s son and serves kid approved meals; and "Black Tap" that features the signature over the top 'CrazyShake'.
We love staying at the Paris Hotel where you can swim in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. A few other hotels with family friendly pools are the Mandalay Bay with a lazy river and wave pool; The Mirage with a tropical oasis featuring waterfalls and lagoons; The MGM Grand with 5 different pools, a river and grotto; and the Golden Nugget with a three-story water slide through a shark tank!
