Castiglione Della Pescaia

Beach and Sand on the Tuscan Seaside

Castiglione della pescaia

I love me some Tuscany. The best wine, food and the way they pronounce their C's in their words cracks me up.

Situated in the heart of the Maremma Grossetana, between Follonica and Grosseto, Castiglione della Pescaia is a nice seaside town famous for its elegant beaches overlooking a a crystal-clear sea, which has been awarded several times with the Blue Flag certificate.

Growing up we would all drive out here for the weekend from our home in Siena. Since Siena doesnt have a beach nearby and the summers get crazy hot I was always so excited to head out here.

it’s one the most scenic of Tuscany’s coastal towns. Located in an area of long beaches and beautiful pine groves, it’s the ideal destination for anyone wanting a more low-key holiday surrounded by nature.

It's perfect for a Summer family holiday, but I think it also makes a romantic destination. With old-world charm, insanely amazing food and gorgeous sunsets I look forward to going back here with on a romantic weekend and reminisce on my sandy childhood.
