Waterfall Hunting in Bali

Bali, known as the ‘island of the gods’, is one of the most beautiful islands we have ever been to. The lush greens and peaceful scenery allows the perfect opportunity for you to reconnect with nature. The best way to experience Bali is to spend your time exploring its raw beauty, and what better way to do so then by going waterfall hunting! Bali has some of the best waterfalls in the world and it is easy to get lost discovering them all.

Leke-Leke is one of our favourite waterfalls. It is located north of Ubud, halfway towards the Munduk mountain region. It’s a beautiful and lush waterfall, and you can climb down to it in 10 minutes. The stairs are well maintained, and besides 2 bamboo bridges you have to cross, is relatively easy to get to. It is one of the less popular waterfalls in Bali, and when we showed up around mid day there was no one around.

Git Git Twin Waterfall is our favourite waterfall in Northern Bali. After a 10 minute walk down, you will find yourself surrounded by lush greens and two beautiful waterfalls that join as one. This waterfall often gets skipped by majority of tourists, and you may get lucky and find it all to yourself. On the way down, you will also see a ‘Bali swing’ photo opportunity, with the swing hanging over a river.

Tukad Cepung is one of the classic busy Bali waterfalls and for good reason- it is one of the only waterfalls located inside of a cave. It is in the Ubud region and once you are there, a 15 minute walk down the stairs will take you to a stream. If you turn left at the foot of the stairs you will find the cave, which in itself has beautiful photo opportunities, and on the right, there is a smaller waterfall.
