Elan Cafe
Our Review By Hero Traveler @StephLong
Pink is the new black.
It’s safe to say I am always on the scout out for all the best places to enjoy a coffee, and combined with writing it is my favorite pastime. The coffee has to be great (of course), but it also has to be paired with beautiful aesthetics and interiors. If it ticks both boxes I won't only be sharing my thoughts over Instagram but you’ll find me hanging out there for hours, and being a creature of habit if I find a place I love - you’ll find me there on the regular.
Elan Cafe has become one of those places for me.
I don’t see myself as a "girly girl", but I was blown away by the beautifully pink interior and decor. As soon as you walk in you are treated with the sweetest and comforting smell of cakes, flowers, and coffee! You are greeted by a display of delicately made cakes - the kind you don’t want to eat because they look too good! (Although I still recommend that you do)
There are 6 different locations around London but my friend and I visited the Park Lane branch. It’s in such an unexpected location. Right in the middle of tall grey buildings tucked away sits the small and bright pink cafe, the juxtaposition makes for a great photo. We sat downstairs next to the renowned ‘flower wall’ which makes the best backdrop, it’s essentially a wall covered in roses of different hues of pink. It is the ultimate meet up place to go and have coffee and cake with the girls, or if you’re simply on holiday visiting the city and you want to hit one of the most iconic ‘insta-famous’ spots this is one of them.
I would highly recommend the chocolate brownie, but if you want to be a little more adventurous than me my friend absolutely loved the strawberry cake. They don’t just serve cakes and desserts, if you want a spot of lunch there are the option of salads, flatbreads, and toasties, as you can imagine every plate is an artistic masterpiece and sits aside as a healthy savory menu compared to the sweet overload of the cakes.
Like Peggy Porschen Cakes that I wrote about last week, it is one for the grammers as every angle you turn there is a photo opt. The perfectly pink place for a coffee.
