Sunrise hike Mount Batur

I highly recommend this sunrise hike!
We had to stand up at 1:30 am what seems really tough but actually it was totally fine. At 2 am we drove about 1 and 1/2 hour from Sanur to the Mount Batur. If you‘re staying in Ubud it‘s less early in the morning i think about 4 am. At the base we got flashlights and started hiking. It‘s a really easy trail and we even did the „harder one“. And if you‘re not such a fan of hiking you can also rent a motorbike taxi to bring you up on the mountain. But it‘s really possible for everyone to hike up Mount Batur. So try it ;)
We hiked about 2 hours up but with many breaks. The sunrise started about 5 am so we had to wait on the mountain but we got tea and coffee. I would recommend to wear warm things because it‘s pretty could up there.
When the sun started rising everything was so worth it. It‘s so beautiful!
After the sun was fully rised we explored the mountain top which is as well really impressive because it‘s an active vulcan, so you can see steam coming out of the rocks.
After the hike we went to some hot springs, what happend to be a beautiful and large facility. There we got breakfast and could relax in the hot water.
