Old Spitalfields Market

The Best Lunch in East End

Old Spitalfields Market

For amazing street food in London’s East End, head to the Old Spitalfields Market! I love heading to this market for lunch whenever I’m in the East End because it has such a great variety as food. The market isn’t as big as London’s Borough Market, but it is still fairly impressive with 41 options for food and drink and 51 shops and stalls!

There are a variety of food options in the market, ranging from table service restaurants to street food stalls. I always head straight to the street food stalls when I get to the market to check out what’s on offer that day.

In the past, I’ve had a delicious bento box, Indian chaat, and Taiwanese wheel cakes (all in one day!). There’s something for everyone here, so it’s a great place to stop for lunch if you’re touring around the city. The variety at this market is amazing, and you can find anything from London’s best pastrami sandwich at Monty’s Deli to authentic Burmese food at Lahpet.

Everything I’ve tried is delicious, and I can’t wait to go back and try something new. The market is open every day, but hours vary depending on the day.
