One of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, the City of Light is known for it's mouthwatering gormet food and iconic infostructure. It is also a fascinating city to photograph but be careful of little-known laws!
The park in front of the Eiffel Tower is usually full of tourists taking photos, but the side streets offer an amazing perspective for photographs. Don't skip the park though, grab a bottle of wine and a baguette and enjoy some of the best people watching.
Another iconic building is the Arc de Triomphe. Though there are a lot of tourists here too, it is worth the stop. A trip to the top of the tower will run you about $12 before you can climb the 284 stairs. The view from the top gives you a general idea of where the rest of the city landmarks lie.
Did you know taking photos and videos of the Eiffel Tower at night is technically illegal? The tower's light show is techincally still belongs to the artist and are therefore protected by France's copyright laws. The FAQ section on the website reads: The views from the Eiffel Tower are rights-free. Permission and rights must be obtained from the Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel for the publication of photographs of the illuminated Eiffel Tower. But we won't tell if you don't.
