What To See in Paris, France

The Notre Dame cathedral

Paris is the capital of France, also known as The city of Love. There are tons of things to do here. I’ve photographed a few of them while visiting this year.

The Louvre, at night The Louvre, at night

One, to begin with, would be the Louvre (See photo above). This museum is not only wonderful from the outside, but also from the inside and when in Paris you would be crazy to not visit. When arriving there, you’ll immediately see the glass pyramids. The architecture looks great in any photo and has become a tourist attraction of its own. The pyramid used as an entrance in the Louvre's courtyard has the exact same proportions as the Great Pyramid of Giza! When heading inside the museum, be prepared to be overwhelmed by the crowds. To avoid this you should consider going there early in the morning. Tickets are 15 euro and can be purchased at the museum or online. https://www.louvre.fr/en/hours-admission-directions/admission

Furthermore, as you walk around the Seine river, the river Paris is built around, you’ll walk past the two islands in the river the Notre Dame is situated on. Entry is 10 Euro (http://www.tours-notre-dame-de-paris.fr/en/)

Apart from admiring the cathedral itself make sure to watch the street artists here too. These are often positioned around here. Be careful though, don’t join the games of people on these streets. As fun and innocent as they may seem, most of these games are scams.

At last, make sure to walk around the Eiffel tower at night. This will make for a wonderful and romantic evening walk. Whether you’re single or a couple, it’s a wonderful experience. Admission to the tower is between 16-25 Euro.

At night, the Eiffel lights on the tower will flicker every hour. This is a good moment to take wonderful photos. You can sit and listen to the street artists singing at the Trocadéro gardens as well. The Trocadéro Gardens are a place to view the tower and provide an excellent view. They are easily accessible as there is a metro stop that lets you out right at the gardens.
