Where To Eat in Brighton, England

Brighton is the perfect stop for your England road trip during summertime. When I was there last summer I was astonished by the enormous pier, which made me think of the Santa Monica pier in California. On the pier, it is possible to gamble as well as to enjoy the attraction park. In the evening you’ll want to head to the city center. Where there are lots of beautiful old Victorian buildings like the one below.

As we wanted to go out for dinner we asked a stranger for the best food in town, and he appointed us to a hidden, shallow alley called Meeting House Lane, in the center of the town which would’ve otherwise gone unnoticed. In the alley, there were multiple good-looking but pricey restaurants, the atmosphere was amazing though. I recommend going there, even if not for dinner, just for the atmosphere. We ended up eating at a Mexican place, in the town center too. The staff was friendly and the prices were very doable. The place is called ‘Wahaca Brighton’. It was full but not too crowded, which makes for a good atmosphere. Food served after a short period of time and was delicious. Portions weren’t that big though. Would still definitely recommend.

You don’t need a booking to eat at Wahaca – we always keep some of our tables unreserved so anyone can drop in. The restaurant features beautiful murals by the Mexican street artist Mazatl, and stunning interiors. It was also awarded the first Carbon Neutral restaurant group in the UK!!
