Torrent De Pareis
An unmissable place in Palma de Mallorca
If you are going to land in Palma De Mallorca or you are already there and between a party and another you want to see something that will leave you speechless this is definitely Torrent de Pareis.
Torrent de Pareis is about 3300 meters long and originates from the confluence of the Torrenr de Lluc with the Torrent of the Gorg Blau. In fact, its name means "couple", probably due to the confluence of the two streams that form it. The peculiarity is that in the Entreforc, that is where the two streams meet, the Torrent de Pareis exceeds a difference in height of about 180 meters up to the sea and its course is pushed back, making its walls protrude up to 200 meters. The stream of water due to karst erosion has formed a canyon that allows you to follow the course with trekking routes to the sea.
During these routes you can admire the infernal hole, the source of Degotìs and a plain strewn with wild figs and ponds.
If you are not a trekking enthusiast but simply want to admire this place and spend a day at the beach, this is possible. As mentioned above Torrent de Pareis flows into the sea and offers a beach 25 meters long and 30 meters wide, this is rocky, this falls sheer to the sea. The sea point is ideal for those who like to dive off the rocks, go snorkelling or simply fill their eyes with a point of crazy blue.
The point is equipped with a few bars and a couple of restaurants but the first town is very far away so I advise you to bring the bare essentials with you and pay close attention to where you park the car because in high or low season the policemen are strict and they apply really heavy fines.
This corner of paradise is recommended for social lovers because it is possible to take photographs that leave you breathless and above all for those who are in possession of a drone.
