Coco and Moss
A Must-Try Savannah Restaurant
When you think of traditional Savannah cuisine, you probably think of southern classics like fried chicken, biscuits, and seafood. While all that is delicious (and worth having while you’re visiting the city), there are some newcomers to the downtown food scene that have added exciting, fresh flavors into the mix.
I stumbled across Coco and Moss while wandering through Savannah’s historic downtown with my family. We were starving, and the restaurant looked adorable, so we decided to stop in for a quick lunch. I was immediately impressed by the beautiful décor that combined Asian influence with clean, modern style. The menu features a range of sushi rolls, warm bowls, poke bowls, and salads.
I had the Pretty in Pink poke bowl, with raw salmon, avocado, and lots of other yummy toppings. I’m not exaggerating when I say this was one of the best poke bowls I’ve ever had (and I really, really love poke). My dad had a salad, and my mom had a warm bowl, and they were both really impressed with their meals as well. Savannah is a great food city, and I will definitely be stopping at Coco and Moss again the next time I come to town. I’m still dreaming about that incredible bowl.
