Lago di Garda
Brescia, Italy
One of my favorite places of the province of Brescia was "Lago Di Garda," a lake in the middle of the mountains which has a view that will blow your mind; the best part was visiting the town that is on the side of the lake.
It took 1 hour by car to get there from my friend's town Prevalle, so it was a day trip for me but if you choose to stay overnight and need a place to stay there are little hotels in the village of Limone sul Garda. You can also try in a few of the other closer towns which are about half an hour away. My suggestion, however, it to make it a day trip. If you're staying in Brescia, it will take you one and a half hours to get there by car.
The road to get there has a fantastic view too, with the tremendous landscape following you all the way, you can see mountains and the paths that go through them. The road up has a lot of curves, so be sure to take something with you for dizziness or carsickness!
Once you get there, you can relax and have an excellent pizza and some drinks in any of the restaurants and little bars at the side of the lake, or you can take a small boat and take a ride on the lake. This place is a frequent destination for people from bordering countries.
