Hotel in the Heart of Bangkok
Staying at the Aloft on Sukhumvit 11!

During my visit to Bangkok, I stayed at the Aloft hotel on Sukhumvit 11. Sukhumvit 11 is known for the nightlife and club scene, which is not really something I am into but the area did have a good selection of bars including Havana Social, a speakeasy that’s entrance is hidden in a phone booth.

When I entered my room, I was greeted with a perfect view of the Bangkok skyline. The rooms in Aloft were spacious, very clean, and the beds were very comfortable.

Everything outside of the room was exceptional as well. The hotel was full of amenities and an extremely helpful staff. The first floor has a coffee bar, a billiards table, and a Ms. Pac Man arcade game. The hotel is also equipped with a fitness center and an outdoor pool with a bar. Note: the fitness center is open 24 hours, but the pool is not.

One feature/amenity that really stood out to me was the complimentary Tuk Tuk that the hotel had. If you haven’t been to Thailand, a Tuk Tuk is essentially a motorized rickshaw. They will, however, only take you to places within a certain radius of the hotel. If you want to go further, they can help you get a motorcycle taxi or take you to the nearest train station via the complimentary Tuk Tuk.
