The world is full of places that deserve to be visited and I’m lucky to have some very close to me. There’s one place in particular which lies in the heart of Salento called “Grotta Della Poesia”
I’m not really sure if you can translate it, but it literally translates to “the cave of poetry” and you will easily understand why.
It’s one of the most sensational natural pools in the entire world. It’s like a magical place, not just beautiful and relaxing, but also interesting and historical thanks to the legend related to it. It’s about a princess who bathed in the cave and with her beauty inspired the poets’ verses.
It’s a mirror of crystal clear water characterized by colors ranging from cobalt blue to emerald green. There’s also one side where the cave is connected with the sea. The “Cave of Poetry” in was listed among the 10 most beautiful natural pools in the world according to National Geographic. Surrounded by a beautiful and impressive rocky landscape and the clear blue waters of the Adriatic Sea, it surely guarantees an unforgettable swimming experience.
The cave's really appreciated by young people for the spectacular dives you can do from a height of 5 meters.
