Cornwall – Lizards Point and Kynance Cove

Lizards Point in Cornwall is the southernmost point of England. It is a lovely small village with a beautiful coastal walk. This was the second time I’ve been there – I wanted to visit again simply because it is such a stunning place.

We started at Lizards Point and walked down towards the ocean and went for a small walk along the coast on the paths provided. You can walk from Lizards Point to Kynance Cove as it is all connected. After our walk along some of the coastline we headed back and had lunch at a family run café that looks over the ocean. The restaurant there is a must try as the views combined with the food are a great combination. After lunch we then headed over to Kynance Cove, which is, personally, one of my favorite places in Cornwall.

You can either go down to the cove and walk on the beach surrounded by the rocks or walk from above on the hills. The rock formations, being able to look all the way into the horizon, and the beautiful turquoise water are what makes Kynance cove so beautiful. We sat and photographed the place for hours and did not want to leave because of the sheer beauty and impact it had on us. If you’re in Cornwall, Kynance Cove is an absolute must-visit. It is run and protected by the national trust so if you come by car, parking fees apply.
