JAPAN TOKYO, Ginza
Ginza is Tokyo’s top shopping district

One of the city’s top shopping districts, Ginza is packed with upmarket boutiques, as well as ritzy cocktail and sushi bars. Fine jewelry is sold in the 1930s Wako Honkan department store, while ultramodern Ginza Place deals in high-tech electronics. On weekends, main drag Chuo Dori becomes a stylish pedestrian promenade. Having had the PlayStation 1 all the way up to the PlayStation 4 I had to go visit the Ginza Sony Park, otherwise known as the Sony Building Tokyo. It is a 3-4-story building of Sony’s latest technologies some of which are yet to be released to the public. If you are into tech Ginza is the place to be. Next we went to the Nissan Crossing, which is a state of the art car showroom. For all car lovers this will be a dream. Unfortunately we were not able to take photos of the showroom but it is equipped with the latest technologies and concept cars as well as limited edition GTR’s. As a car fanatic it was a place I had to see but even if you are not that into cars you’ll still be blown away by the sheer technology and the interior of the place. After the showroom we went to a café, which overlooked a pedestrian crossing in Ginza. The Japanese have officers at every busy pedestrian crossing which look out for people who J walk (crossing a red light) This Chinese lady did it and all you could hear is a security man blowing his whistle and chasing after her. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. If you are in Ginza on the weekend they close main drag Chuo Dori ,which is one of the main streets in Ginza and make it a pedestrian walk way. This creates unique photo opportunities and is how it got the shot below. Ginza is a incredible place with so much to offer. We spent around a half-day there looking at the two buildings mentioned earlier and just wondering around the streets looking at the shops. Ginza is home to some of the most upmarket boutiques.
