Soaking In The Sun at Praia Da Marinha.
Portugals Algarve Coast.
Praia Da Marinha is one of the places you have to see to believe. The rock formations that have been created over such long periods of time are simply breathtaking. This beach is considered as the Gem of the Algarve and is considered as one of the top 10 beaches in the world by the Michelin guide. The beach is insanely crowded during the summer months so if you want to get a good spot then you’ll have to either go early morning or later in the evening when the people are leaving. You can walk above the beach where you can see all the rock formations in all their glory as well as a great vantage point onto the beach. The walkways are clearly marked and there are hiking trails if you are up for a hike. It is around a 10-15 minute walk to get down to the main beach, which involves a few steep climbs down, but nothing too difficult. Be sure to layer up with sunscreen, as the sun is extremely powerful in the Algarve. Once you have finished explore the Praia da Marinha. You can head over next door to check out the famed Benagil caves; you can only get there via boat so be sure to book in advance. I would recommend booking a car when traveling in Portugal, as unless you are in Lisbon the public transport system is virtually non-existent.
