A Night Walk in Seoul
We took a night walk in Seoul on our first night there. After two weeks in Japan, South Korea was now our new home for the near future.
We decided to go explore the street by night and get some food at the famous street market, known as Myeong-dong Street Market.
First this city is amazing for shopping with great shops everywhere, and the city is very easy to walk around. I have a tip for you if you come here - come with plenty of extra room in your suitcase (or bring an empty one!)
On the way we saw a really old temple lit by thousands of lights, this was a Buddhist temple with brightly coloured lanterns.
From mid April through mid May, Korea gets decked out with colorful lanterns to celebrate Buddha's birthday on May 5th. During the celebration, you can see the lanterns hung up in many areas of Seoul throughout the streets, but especially at the Buddhist temples.
