Bondi to Coogee Coastal walk

The most famous walking track in Sydney

View from the coastal walk

Sydney is the biggest city in Australia, and with 5 million inhabitants, it can get a little bit overwhelming. But luckily nature is not missing at all. Plenty of walks and National Parks surround the city.

The six km walk that stretches along the Eastern suburbs from Bondi Beach to Coogee is the most famous and crowded in Sydney. But it is a must for whoever lives or travels here. The coastal cliff walk features beaches, hidden bays, stunning views, and rockpools that will take you roughly three hours to complete comfortably. The track begins right at the famous Bondi Icerbeg pool overlooking the most known beach in Australia: Bondi beach. Here you can either watch surfers in action or swim in the pool for just $8.

The first stop is Tamarama beach, a much smaller beach where you can stop for a fresh drink at the café situated on the grass behind the beach. Five minutes walking from Tamarama lies the well known Bronte beach with its beautiful free bath next to the ocean. Bronte would also be the perfect spot for a typical Aussie Barbie if anyone might be hungry!

Next stop on the way: Clovelly beach. But it would be impossible to avoid a stop at the panoramic Waverly Cemetery to take a few pictures along the wooden boardwalk. Once you've arrived at Clovelly Beach, Coogee is going to be close. You get there by crossing Gordon Bay, a paradise for all snorkeling lovers.

From that point in 15 minutes, you`ll be able to arrive at the end of the track, at Coogee beach, in 15 minutes. Here you can finally take a long refreshing swim after a long walk!
