Kudremukh National Park is located in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka and is well connected to major cities like Bangalore and Mangalore.

• By Air: The nearest airport is Mangalore International Airport, about 130 km away.

• By Rail: The closest railway station is in Mangalore, from where you can hire a cab or take a bus.

• By Road: Regular buses and private taxis operate from Bangalore (350 km) and Mangalore (130 km) to Kudremukh.

The best time to explore Kudremukh National Park is between October and May, when the weather is pleasant and the lush greenery is at its peak. The monsoon months (June to September) bring heavy rains, making trekking difficult but enhancing the beauty of the region.

The Kudremukh trek is one of the most sought-after trails in South India. The 22 km trek (round trip) offers stunning views of rolling meadows, misty valleys, and dense shola forests. The peak gets its name from its unique horse-face shape and stands at 1,894 meters (6,214 feet) above sea level.

Located inside the park, Hanuman Gundi Waterfalls is a mesmerizing sight. The cascading waters tumbling down from a height of 100 feet create a refreshing and peaceful ambiance. A short trek leads to this scenic spot, making it a must-visit for nature lovers.

Another stunning waterfall within the park, Kadambi Waterfalls is known for its tranquil surroundings and crystal-clear waters. The drive to the falls through dense forests is as mesmerizing as the falls themselves.
