The Sahara Desert

After a day spent traveling through Morocco, we finally reached our destination point, the village of Merzouga. From here, we would start our journey to something incredible - the Sahara desert.

The “nomads” were crazy and funny, but also very confident and humble.

When I saw the camels for the first time, I couldn't believe how tall they were (2+ meters!), I was really impressed. We stared our camel ride from Merzouga, heading to the Big Rah Chebbi dune camp.

The Ergo Chebbi dune is massive. The ride was absolutely fantastic, I had the opportunity to admire my first true sunset in the Sahara desert.

The colors of the sky were like fire, the sand was so orange, and the shadows behind the dunes were incredible. I fell totally in love with the contrast of the scene.

I saw an enormous expanse of dunes - you can’t see the end of it.

The camel was comfortable and friendly, although he really wanted to eat my brown jacket hahaha!

Funny camel!! Funny camel!!

The ride lasted for two hours, plus all of the bus travel before made for a long day.

a quite place .. a quite place ..
