The Cutest Café in Helsinki

The Regatta Café in a little red house

At the edge of the city park, right on the coast, in the metropolis of Helsinki, Finland, you'll find a little red house. It's so much more than a house. This little red house has a beautiful view of the harbor, lights strung everywhere, a courtyard with seating and a fire pit, and buckets of charm. If you go inside this little house, you'll find a crowded room that will remind you of your grandmother's hodge-podge of a living room with a hip twist. Order yourself a Finnish butter eye bun, called a voisilmäpullat, or a cinnamon roll, and a cup of hot cocoa. Choose a wooden table inside, amongst the patrons, a few dogs, a few people working. Or, better yet, choose a table outside, under the patio lights, scooted up against the fence for a few of the water. If you come back at night, you can get a sausage and a seat by the fire, with the lights above. There are so many ways to experience the Regatta Café in Helsinki, and you'll put your own spin on it. Just trust me on the voisilmäpullat.
